Tinea Unguium or Onchomycosis

The most common type of Toenail or fingernail fungus is Tinea Unguium or Onchomycosis. This infection usually involves isolated nails, rarely all of the fingernails or toenails. The nail plate becomes brittle, cracked and partially separated from the nail bed and shows a dirty yellowish-gray discoloration.

Fungi love a dark moist environment to help relieve the problem:

  • Buy shoes that are leather or other breathable material. Shoe materials, such as vinyl, that don't breathe cause your feet to remain moisture, providing an excellent area for the fungus to breed.
  • Absorbent socks like cotton that wick water away from your feet are helpful.
  • Leave the feet open to the air whenever possible.

Use Health Toes Foot  Scrub to remove oils and debris from the feet followed by Healthy Toes essential oil formula to kill the fungus.
